How did Lyssa grow up? Lyssa Chapman was born to her father Duane Chapman, a well-known American bounty hunter and bondsman and to mother, Lyssa Rae Brittain. Her mother was her third wife. Lyssa has two full blood sisters, Tucker Chapman, and the late Barbara Chapman.
Her parents divorced when she was young. At one point, she was raised by her father to the age of ten. She was later taken by her mother who brought her up in a small Alaskan town.
At the age of fifteen, she was impregnated by a 24-year-old man who was later arrested and sentenced to jail for sexual abuse. She gave birth to her first daughter, Abbie Mae Chapman. Not much is known about her education.
