Youth Dolph conceived as Adolph Thornton Jr on born August 11, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois. They relocated to Memphis when he was only two years old. He has four siblings, two brothers, and two sisters. His early life was not what you would call normal. In one of his tracks titled “preach,” he reveals how his mother was always on the streets in search of drugs. In fact, his parents were both crack addicts.

Career:

Dolph started his music career in 2008. His debut mixtape came out in 2009.He also releases his music independently. Many record label companies have approached him but, he always turns them down. He thus releases his music through the record label Paper Route Empire. Over the years, he has released several mixtapes and made collaborations with big names such as Gucci Mane and O.T Genasis. He was also part of “cut it” single alongside O.T Genasis and the single was a huge success and appeared at position 35 in Billboard top 200 charts.
