William Bret Baier was born on August 4, 1970. Baier is the chief political anchor for Fox channel and also the host of Special Report with Bret Baier. Before fox, he was a Pentagon correspondent and also the network’s Chief White House Correspondent. Bret was born in Rumson, New Jersey. He went to Marist High School graduating in 1988.Baier then proceeded to DePauw University located in Greencastle, Indiana, graduating in 1992. He attained a BA in political science and English.

Personal life
In his youth, Bret has served as an altar boy. He is also a roman catholic and goes to Holy Trinity Church. Baier has two sons, Paul and Daniel with his wife Amy. Paul was born with a heart condition and doctors had to perform open heart surgery on him. The president at that time, George W Bush invited Baier and his wife to the oval office when the operation was ongoing. President Bush also requested an update on their son’s progress by the physician in charge.
