“I wanted people to focus on the things I was creating, not whether I wanted to kiss boys,”
he explained.
“I needed something of my own that I could keep for myself.”

he continued. Joey said that confessing his homosexuality felt like he was validating the bullies that tormented him.

He then pursued his studies at Fitchburg State College intending to major in a film. He was 16 when he started making money through YouTube. So, he had quit his college after a year to make YouTube his full-time job.
