He was to born to his father, Timothy Buckeye an American actor and mother, Alicia Cory, a folk singer. Dr. Buckeye Bottoms is an American citizen of white ethnicity. Buckeye’s parents divorced when he was just one year of age in 1978. His father moved on to remarry, Marcia Morehart, who has given Buckeye half-siblings. He is a half-brother to William Bodie Bottoms born in 1985, Bridget Bottoms born in 1987, and Benton Bottoms born in 1990.

Dr. Bottoms grew up in California. He did his high school, after which he joined California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Dr. Buckeye Bottoms studied Animal science, graduating in the year 2000 with a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science). He was set for higher things as he went on to get a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada 2004.
Immediately after Dr. Buckeye completed his studies in 2004, he started by working as a mobile animal veterinarian in Santa Cruz, California. He did this for two years till 2006. His work at this place was to treat animals that had medical conditions that needed help. He could either be called by residents who owned the animals or would go looking for such cases.
After sharpening his skills, Buckeye decided to move places. He moved to the islands of Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, The Big Island, and Kauai since 2007.
