Dana’s political journalism career started when she worked for Congressman, Scott McInnis as a staff assistant in his Washington DC office. She went on to work for, Representative Dan Schaefer as his Press Secretary for about four years.
Dana Perino went on to work as a spokesperson for the Justice Department. She also worked for the White House Council of Environmental Quality, as an associate director of communication.
Dana was later appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary under President Bush. She served in this position from 2005-2007. After her great performance, she was promoted to the position of Assistant to the President.
After President George Bush’s term ended, Dana got a job working in the US Broadcasting Board of Governors. She was appointed by President Barack Obama.
