First thing first, Alex Trebek dropped a bombshell on his fans and fans of Jeopardy in the March 6 episode.
“I have some news to share with all of you, and it’s in keeping with my longtime policy of being open and transparent with our ‘Jeopardy!’ Fan base. I also wanted to prevent you from reading or hearing some overblown or inaccurate reports regarding my health,” Trebek said, “I was diagnosed with stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.”
Alex Trebek appeared stern as he addressed his tough situation. Alex said he was well aware of the low survival statistics and dismal prognosis, “but I’m gonna fight this,” Alex said.
He said that he would fight and hopefully survive Cancer with support from his friends and family and prayers from the fans.
Alex Trebek amidst all this bravery showed us why he is the greatest show host of all time by ending his message with a comedic note that he does have to beat it because the ‘Jeopardy!’ host has a contract for three more years until 2022.
