Well, Tucker got mad at his dad for bad-mouthing his girlfriend. Tucker, at that time, was in a relationship with an African-American girl, but Duane was against their relationship. While in an argument with his son, Duane referred to Tucker’s girlfriend as ‘Ni***r,’ which is a racial discriminatory-term.
Tucker recorded the argument in secret, which he sold to National Enquirer. Yup, not given sold, Tucker probably just wanted to stop living under the shadow of his father, and this was the chance. A means to distance himself from the family and to get a starting fund for his new life.
