Kimberly Anne Scott’s short bio: Age and early life details
Kim was born on January 9, 1975, in Warren, Michigan, to Kathleen Sluck and Casimer Sluck. She had a twin sister named Dawn Scott, who died in January of 2016, apparently from substance overdose.
Kim and her sister did not have a normal childhood. They ran away from their home in 1988 to escape abuses from her alcoholic father. Kim and Dawn, 13, first settled at a young shelter outside Detroit and later started living with Eminem, 15, shortly after meeting the young rapper at a house party.
Kimberly Anne Scott and Eminem’s relationship history
Eminem and Kim started their on-again and off-again relationship in 1989. The relationship was tumultuous – at times it was passionate and at the other times it was dysfunctional. A close friend of Eminem described their relationship to Rolling Stone as, “One time we came home and Kim had thrown all his clothes on the lawn… and Em’s like, ‘I’m leaving her; I’m never going back.’ Next day, he’s back with her. The love they got is so genuine, it’s ridiculous. He gonna end up marrying her. But there’s always gonna be conflict there.”
Kim gave birth to Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, on the Christmas day of 1995. It was not easy for the couple to meet their ends after having a baby. Eminem did work hard to give his daughter a good childhood but the conflicts between him and Kim didn’t go away, ultimately leading to their breakup in 1996. Kim moved with Hailie in a one-bedroom apartment while the rapper moved in with his mother.
Kim Anne Scott has twice married Eminem
They reunited four years later and tied the knot. However, things did not get any better. Rather, it worsened when Eminem performed Kim on stage and attacked a blowup doll made to look like his wife. The incident came more as humiliation than a shock to Kim which led her to try to commit suicide that night. Later, in an interview, Kim said, “Seeing the crowd’s response and everybody cheering, singing the words and laughing and it just felt like everyone was staring at me. I knew that it was about me and that night I went home and I tried to commit suicide.”
Despite the differences, they decided to keep in touch for the sake of Hailie. They eventually got married for the second time in 2006. Scott revealed, “We decided on Jan 14. Marshall wanted to do it because it was our 15th year together from out original day we started going out.”
She added, “Even on that day I said, ‘Let’s just go through the ceremony but not sign the marriage license.’ Because I was just afraid of what would happen if we had to go through a divorce, our kids. And then 41 days later, Feb 25, Marshall left.” Their divorce was finalized in December 2006.
Following the split, the couple initially shared the custody of Hailie but Eminem gained full custody amid her troubles with the law. Apart from Hailie, Kim has three other children, including her late sister Dawn’s daughter Alaina Marie Mathers. Her daughter Whitney Scott Mathers was born on April 16, 2002, from her relationship with Eric Hartte. She also has a son named Parker Scott from an undisclosed relationship. Kim’s net worth details remain under wraps.
