The couple’s salary per episode is an impressive $30,000 dollars. That’s almost $500 thousand dollars for one season only. The next season started in January 2015 and it also had 13 episodes. Add that to the previous, the couple’s total net worth was already growing nicely. Although Chip and Joanna stated that their limit is 16 episodes, the third season ran a bit longer, having 18 episodes. The number of episodes for the current season is yet to be announced.

The Fixer Upper hosts’ Chip and Joanna Gaines net worth in 2016 was estimated well above $5 million dollars. They live in a farmhouse with their four children. The house was in a bad condition when they bought it, and they renovated it themselves. They are accompanied by more than 50 animals, including chickens, goats, cows and horses.

Business and source of income

Let’s check the couple’s other sources of income, apart from their HGTV salary. First of all, let’s talk about Magnolia Silos. Magnolia Silos is a massive market downtown Waco, Texas. It offers a vast collection of baking recipes, seeds, and many other products. Not only that, but the place is also welcoming. You can either buy stuff or not, and you’re more than welcome to just hang out. Magnolia Silos’s worth is estimated to be around $3.5 million dollars.

Magnolia House Vacation Rental is a home that Chip and Joanna completely renovated. It’s got the same style as the couple’s farmhouse and it is located near Joanna’s Magnolia Silos. It is in very high demand, so if you want to rent it, you’ll have to wait a few months.

The couple also owns Magnolia Real Estate. With a great number of skilled real estate agents, Magnolia Real Estate serves Waco, San Antonio, Houston and a few other cities.

They are also the proud owners of the Magnolia Journal. This is a magazine dedicated to the Fixer Upper lifestyle. They also signed a contract with Thomas Nelson for two books, including ‘The Magnolia Story’. On top of that, Joanna launched a clothing line in collaboration with Matilda Jane. She also has a line of furniture, her own rugs that she makes with Loioi Fabrics, and an impressive line of furniture. But that’s not all, the Gaines also own a bed & breakfast called ‘Magnolia House B&B’. One night at the B&B costs almost $700 and so far they don’t lack visitors. If you want to book it, you’ll have to wait until August 2017.

So here’s where their net worth comes from. The couple own buildings and land around Waco that are valued at more than $7.5 million dollars.

Short bio

Chip bought his first property while he was still in college. He did this by partnering up with his parents. He instantly loved it, so he started buying and selling homes and other properties. When Joanna met him, Chip was flipping houses to college students. She said that she loved the idea of buying something without value, adding value to it, then selling it for a profit. They both attended Baylor University. Chip graduated in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration. Joanna graduated three years later with a Communication degree. They did not meet in school, though. It was at an auto repair shop, where Joanna was working. At the time, Jo was already the owner of Magnolia Market. They tied the knot in 2003 and are currently living in Waco with their four kids.
