Career
While still in University, Lahren worked as an associate producer and host for her schools show The Scramble and also wrote articles for The Review. She then got an internship at ‘One America News Network ‘(OAN). Lahren later moved to San Diego where she got a chance to host her own show. She hosted ‘On point with Tomi Lahren’ which was aired on America News Network. The show ran for one year. She then relocated to Texas to host ‘Tomi’ for the Blaze.Lahren was fired from The Blaze in March 2017 for making pro-choice comments.
Controversies
Like all other media personalities, Lahren is not without controversy. In 2015, she gained media attention for the comments she made about the Chattanooga shootings. In 2016, she was at it again. This time she targeted Beyoncé after her performance at the super bowl 50.
Her target was Jay-Z and she accused him of selling crack for 14 years. She has also made a comparison of the Black Lives matter movement to Ku Klux Klan (KKK) in a tweet posted on July 2016. This led to a ton of backlash from people all over the world.
Many people also wanted Tomi Lahren fired from The Blaze or at least taken off the air. Their efforts were however fruitless. Others celebrities she has also slammed include Hillary Clinton, Jay-Z, and Jesse Williams. Lahren’s shows have many critics including Trevor Noah, the new host of The Daily Show.
