The daughter of Liverpool football legends and manager Kenny Dalglish, Kelly Cates was born on 8 September 1975 in Glasgow, Scotland. Her mother name is Marina, she is a housewife. She is the eldest of four children of her family. She has two younger sisters and a bother. Her brother Paul Dalglish is also a popular football player.
Her career in Television
Kelly Cates is a TV presenter. She started her journey as a presenter on Sky Sports News and was part of the presenter line-up for Virgin’s Media new portal.
She interviewed many managers and footballers as a part of Setanta’s Premier League in 2007 when she was a presenter on Setanta Sports News. Then in between 2009 and 2010, for football season she was part of the ESPN team for their premier league and co-presented Talk of the Terrace alongside mark chapman and for series 2, Nat Coombs. She also presented Sports News on GMTV in 2010.
And then she worked as a reporter for IITV at the ‘FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 in South Africa as well as for 2011-2012 UEFA Champions League. The talented reporter and presenter Cates also started to throw sports news on Daybreak in 2012 in the absence of Gavin Ramjaun.
She was part of UK Channel 4 presenting team for the London 2012 Paralympics. Kelly presented Coached of the Couch for STV in 2012 which is six-part Scottish television series.
From 2015-2016 football season, she hosted Football League Tonight on Channel 5 with George Riley presenting weekly highlights from The Football League.

On 3 August 2016, she rejoined in Sky Sports presenting their live show of the Sky Bet English Football League. From 2017 she also was a host of the Friday Night Football on the stage of Sky Sport.
Scottish Sports Broadcaster Kelly Cates of Hosting talent is not only on a television set, She was presented regularly for national radio station talk SPORT and has presented Fighting Talk on Radio 5 live and then she presented on the station in summer 2009.
Since 2013 she had already presented 606 shows most Sunday alongside Pundit lanWright. She also presents the midweek sports show 5, Live sport.
